Giorgio Villani

Founder

Giorgio is an Italian-American software developer and entrepreneur. He started his career in oil and gas in 2011 — fitting, given the studio’s name — and found the Bitcoin white paper along the way. After seven years at Koch Minerals and Trading, he left commodities to work in web3 full time.

As founder of Spindletop Digital he builds web3 and AI applications and advises teams entering the space. He co-founded FairBid and played a central role in tokenizing a historic hotel on Lake Como.

He is also a committed community builder: an active participant in groups like LexDAO, dxDAO, and Art Blocks, and founder of the Houston Web3 & AI Meetup, which has hosted hackathons, panel discussions, and intro sessions for hundreds of newcomers to the space.
