Why “Spindletop”
In January 1901, a well on Spindletop Hill outside Beaumont, Texas blew in at 1,139 feet and flowed an estimated 100,000 barrels a day — more than every other well in America combined. It set off the boom that built modern Texas. We took the name because we work the same way: pick the right spot, drill with conviction, and build the infrastructure for what comes up.
